Software Testing & QA Engineer

The Software Testing & QA Engineer will be responsible for manual testing for the scrum team deliverables. He/she will also be accountable for the quality of deliverables for the scrum team they would be part of. He/she would partner closely with the Functional and Technical leads, and other teams as needed to deliver right business outcomes.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Shall do end to end functional and non-functional testing
• Shall work on test case automation and scripting.
• Shall create test cases for all functional requirements and upload in Rally US/Defects, execute smoke testing suite, regression suite, integration testing
• Test all features/US/Defects as defined in the scope and validate as per specifications defined and give demo
• Work closely with Customer Test Architect to define testing strategy of all functionalities.
• Manage and track development defects in Rally, shall work on Rally as the agile tool
• Shall do performance testing to measure and track performance
• Act as gatekeeper for development quality and approve code deployments from quality stand point
• Shall ensure requirements and acceptance are documented properly, participate in PI/scrum ceremonies, give demo of features at the end of sprints and milestones
• Work closely with Customer quality team and ensure quality process compliance during all tollgate/control point reviews and during app releases
• Work closely with Customer product SMEs and supplier project team through discovery phase, impact analysis, requirement gathering and all SDLC phases

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in IS, IT or CS
• 4+ years of experience in Software quality assurance delivering high quality outcomes
• Experience with tools like GitHub, GitLab, SVN, CVS for code configuration management
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
• High energy, Customer Passion & attention to details
• Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency, ownership, and accountability
• Adaptable/Flexible: being open to change in response to new information, different or unexpected circumstances, and having the ability to navigate ambiguous situations
