Job Description

Job Summary:

Software Tester (Automation + Manual)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and analyze system specifications, requirements, and technical documents.
  • Design, develop, and execute

    manual and automated test cases

    to ensure product quality.
  • Identify, log, and track

    bugs or defects

    using tools like

    JIRA, Bugzilla, or Azure DevOps

    .
  • Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product teams to ensure timely and high-quality releases.
  • Perform

    regression testing, functional testing, integration testing, and system testing

    .
  • Develop and maintain

    automation test scripts

    using tools like

    Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or Appium

    .
  • Participate in

    test planning, estimation, and strategy discussions

    .
  • Create and maintain

    test documentation

    , including test plans, test cases, and test summary reports.
  • Work with

    CI/CD pipelines

    for test automation integration.
  • Ensure testing aligns with

    agile/scrum

    methodologies.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree

    in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.

  • 4 years of experience

    in software testing (manual + automation).
  • Strong knowledge of

    SDLC, STLC, and QA methodologies

    .
  • Experience in

    Automation tools

    : Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, JUnit, Cypress, or Playwright.
  • Good understanding of

    API testing

    tools like

    Postman, Rest Assured, or SoapUI

    .
  • Hands-on experience with

    SQL

    for database validation.
  • Familiarity with

    version control systems

    (e.g., Git, Bitbucket).
  • Experience with

    CI/CD tools

    like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Good to Have:

  • Experience in

    performance testing tools

    (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).
  • Exposure to

    mobile testing

    using Appium or BrowserStack.
  • Knowledge of

    BDD frameworks

    (Cucumber, Behave).
  • Certification such as

    ISTQB

    or

    Certified Software Tester (CSTE)
