Job Description

As a Software Tester (ERP), you will be responsible for understanding and implementing the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) process and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC). Your role will involve a systematic approach to planning and executing tests, including writing test cases and test plans for projects. You will be expected to conduct Regression testing, Functional testing, Unit testing, and System testing. Your creative skills will be essential for devising effective testing techniques and strategies. During test execution, you will need to log defects, investigate potential issues, and collaborate with developers to resolve them. Reporting progress to the Project Manager in a timely manner and ensuring that testing standards are met will also be part of your responsibilities. To excel in this role, you should have at least 3 years of experience in Client-Server and Desktop based application environments, with a strong understanding of Testing Concepts. Previous testing experience in ERP, MIS, Retail, or POS applications is required. Basic knowledge of SQL is essential, along with strong conceptual and problem-solving skills. Familiarity with Test Director or Quality Center is considered an advantage. Your communication skills, both written and verbal in English, should be fluent to effectively report and discuss testing progress. As a full-time employee based in Ahmedabad, India, you will play a crucial role in supporting operational teams and ensuring the quality of software products meets the required standards.
