Software Test Engineer

Role Overview: You will be part of Vector Consulting Group's software development team specializing in Product Development. The team is highly experienced in various stages of the software development life cycle, with products deployed in leading enterprises across different domains such as Retail, Consumer Products, Automobile, Textile, Engineering, and Construction in India. Key Responsibilities: - Perform manual testing on web applications to ensure they meet functional and business requirements. - Create, review, and maintain test cases and test scripts based on functional and business requirements. - Identify, document, and track defects/bugs using test management tools. Collaborate with developers to reproduce and troubleshoot issues. - Conduct regression testing during each release cycle to ensure existing functionalities remain unaffected. - Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and assist stakeholders in understanding test results. - Maintain thorough documentation of test plans, cases, and results. Provide regular reports on testing progress and outcomes. - Work closely with developers, business analysts, and product managers to understand requirements and ensure quality standards are met. - Participate in retrospectives to improve testing processes and methodologies. Qualification Required: - Familiarity with testing tools such as JIRA, TestRail, Quality Center, or similar test management tools. - Basic knowledge of SQL for database testing. - Strong attention to detail to identify issues and inconsistencies within software functionality. - Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically about testing scenarios. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills to document defects and collaborate effectively with team members. - Ability to work collaboratively within an Agile/Scrum development environment. - Understanding of software development life cycles (SDLC), Agile methodologies, and testing life cycles (STLC). Additional Details: The job location is in Thane with a 5-day work from office role. Compensation will be based on qualification and experience.,
