Software Test Engineer

As a Quality Assurance team member at Cabot, you will be responsible for testing software products to ensure high quality. Your role will involve developing and executing Software Test Plans for Web and Smartphone applications, creating/maintaining databases of known test defects, designing test plans and procedures, and conducting various types of application testing. You will also document software defects, monitor bug resolution efforts, and ensure compliance with testing standards. **Key Responsibilities:** - Develop and execute Software Test Plans for Web and Smartphone applications. - Plan test schedules/strategies according to project scope. - Create/maintain databases of known test defects. - Design test plans, scenarios, scripts, or procedures. - Follow standards to determine product quality/release readiness. - Conduct various types of application testing. - Document software defects and report them to developers. - Monitor bug resolution efforts and track successes. - Document test procedures for replicability and compliance. - Identify, analyze, and document problems with program function or content. - Review software documentation for accuracy and completeness. **Qualifications Required:** - More than a year of testing experience with exposure to automated testing. - Experience working with Selenium. - Experience in testing Smartphone Applications is a plus. - Skilled at Testing Applications end-to-end. - Experience working in an agile environment is desirable. - Proven data analysis, verification, and problem-solving abilities. - Proactively research emerging technologies and trends. - Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment. - Good communication skills. Cabot is looking for a candidate with more than a year of testing experience, preferably with exposure to automated testing and working knowledge of Selenium. Experience in testing Smartphone Applications is advantageous. The ideal candidate should have proven data analysis skills, be able to work effectively in an agile environment, and possess good communication skills. Academic qualifications include Graduation in any discipline or a Diploma in Engineering.,
