Software Engineering Manager
What you ll do
- Lead & grow teams: Hire, coach, and develop high-performing, inclusive teams across geographies; establish clear roles, objectives, and growth paths; build succession plans.
- Own delivery & portfolios: Run an outcomes-driven portfolio with transparent OKRs, prioritization, and release plans; ensure on-time, high-quality delivery and smooth transitions to operations.
- Stakeholder management: Engage senior business leaders, product owners, and functional partners to translate needs into scalable solutions and to drive adoption and change.
- Operational excellence: Ensure production reliability (data availability, quality SLAs), incident response, and continuous improvement across 24x7 operations.
- Governance & compliance: Champion data governance, quality, cataloguing, and access controls; partner with Security, Risk, and Compliance to meet regulatory requirements.
- Culture & ways of working: Promote a culture of innovation, accountability, and learning; mature Agile practices, DataOps/MLOps, and automation; increase data literacy across stakeholders.
- Enable analytics & BI: Ensure that analytics teams (Power BI, Qlik, Tableau) have trusted, well-modeled data and that business users can self-serve responsibly.
Technology environment: Azure data services, Databricks, Snowflake/Synapse, and adjacent cloud services. Depth is supported by your senior ICs; you provide architectural guidance and standards rather than day-to-day hands-on build.
What you ll bring (Must-have)
- Leadership tenure: 15+ years in data/analytics with 5+ years leading managers and multi-disciplinary teams delivering enterprise data platforms and analytics.
- Enterprise delivery: Proven track record shaping strategy, roadmaps, and OKRs; leading complex programs from discovery to run, ideally in supply chain or adjacent operations.
- Cloud data platforms: Experience leading teams working on Azure data services and Databricks (or equivalents); able to evaluate architectures, set standards, and make trade-offs.
- AI/ML program exposure: Managed delivery of analytics/ML and at least some GenAI initiatives, with focus on governance, risk, and value realization.
- Stakeholder & change leadership: Executive presence, excellent communication, and the ability to drive alignment and adoption across business and IT.
- Governance & security: Strong understanding of data quality, metadata, cataloguing, access controls, and compliance in regulated, global environments.
- Operational mindset: Experience running reliable, monitored, and supportable platforms with 24x7 expectations.
Nice-to-have
- Master s degree or equivalent in a quantitative or technical field.
- Azure Architect/Data certifications (current equivalents welcome).
- Experience in healthcare and/or supply chain data domains.
- Familiarity with GenAI toolchains and agent-based patterns (at program/architecture level).

Academic & professional qualifications
- Bachelor s or Master s in a relevant discipline from a reputable institution.
