Software Engineering Intern (Backend / Full-Stack) — HealthTech | Working Directly with CTO

Vaidya HealthTech Pvt. Ltd. (“Vaidya Health”) is building India’s most integrated, affordable, and ABDM-compliant digital health ecosystem. Our products include:

• VaidyaLab

  (LIMS): Completed and production-ready

• VaidyaOne

  (PHR App): 50%+ development completed

• VaidyaMD

  (e-Prescription & EMR):
  Core workflows designed and under development

We are not in idea stage, development has been underway for months, and you will join an active product engineering environment.

Role Overview

We are hiring a Software Engineering Intern to support and work directly under our incoming Chief Technical Officer. This role is hands-on, fast-paced, and ideal for someone passionate about building real-world health-tech products at scale.

You will assist with maintaining existing systems, implementing new features, supporting deployments, and improving platform performance across our three active products.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain backend and frontend components across VaidyaLab, VaidyaMD, and VaidyaOne
• Implement modules, bug fixes, and enhancements as directed by the CTO
• Support DevOps activities including CI/CD, deployments, logs, and performance monitoring
• Work on API integrations (ABHA/ABDM, FHIR, DICOM workflows, etc.)
• Write clean, maintainable code and prepare internal technical documentation
• Participate in code reviews and engineering discussions
• Assist with cloud infrastructure tasks on GCP (Cloud Run, Cloud SQL, Cloud Build)

Development:

• Java

• Solid programming fundamentals
• Understanding of Git, APIs, and database design

Preferred Qualifications

• B.Tech / M.Tech (Computer Science or related) : Final-year students welcome
• Prior internship/project experience is a plus
• Interest in healthcare technology, data interoperability, AI, or cloud-native development
