About The Role

We are looking for an experienced

Software Engineer - Elixir

to join our growing engineering team. You will play a key role in designing, building, and maintaining scalable backend systems and APIs using Elixir. This role is ideal for engineers passionate about functional programming, distributed systems, and building reliable, high-performance applications.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs using Elixir and Phoenix framework.
Work with relational and non-relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB).
Implement scalable and resilient architectures with focus on performance, concurrency, and fault tolerance.
Collaborate with frontend engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality features.
Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and architectural decisions.
Monitor, debug, and optimize production systems.
Ensure security and compliance best practices in application design and deployment.

Requirements

3–5 years of professional software engineering experience, with at least 3+ years in Elixir/Phoenix.
Strong understanding of functional programming concepts.
Experience building RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL endpoints.
Solid experience with databases (SQL and NoSQL).
Knowledge of Docker or cloud platforms (AWS) is a plus.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and version control (Git).
Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and in a team.
Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

Good to Have:

Exposure to microservices, event-driven architecture.
Prior experience in healthcare, SaaS platforms.
