Software Engineer

As a Software Engineer at Mahindra Teqo in Bangalore, you will be a part of the Software Department within the company. Mahindra Teqo, a tech-enabled Renewable Energy Asset Management offering from the Mahindra Group, is dedicated to providing a complete suite of products and services for streamlined asset management in the global renewable industry to maximize returns from Renewable Energy (RE) assets. Your role as a Data Engineer will involve working on enterprise products based on IoT and Big Data engineering. You will collaborate with Data Engineers, Integration Specialists, and UI developers to design, develop, and implement complex, scalable, and extensible functionalities. Additionally, you will play a key role in ensuring adequate architectural oversight and contributing to the continuous tech-stack upgrade journey. Working within a scrum team on a daily basis, you will use agile engineering practices, work both independently and collaboratively, and closely engage with developers, Team Leads, and architects. Your responsibilities will also include analyzing performance issues, identifying causes, and proposing resolutions. We are seeking individuals with 2-4 years of experience in Java/Big Data Development. Candidates should hold a qualification of BE/B.Tech, ME/M.Tech, MS, or MCA in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Information Science. In terms of technical skills, you must have experience with object-oriented languages such as Java, designing and implementing APIs (with a deep understanding of the Spring Boot framework), and working with MongoDB and SQL databases. Familiarity with message queues like Kafka/Mqtt, Apache Spark, and client-side development using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and JSON would be advantageous. To excel in this role, you will need effective problem-solving abilities, proven analytical and organizational skills, strong co-ordination and interpersonal skills for managing complex projects, and the capability to lead requirement gathering sessions with customers. Strong oral and written communication skills are essential for successful collaboration within the team and with external stakeholders.,
