Job responsibilities The Senior Databricks ETL Engineer will be involved to work on complete lifecycle of the ETL Application. It will include from requirements gathering, development and supporting. The engineer will be responsible for support activity and troubleshooting batch processing and user reports, to ensure the high availability of Candescent s Data Platform and Reporting Services. They will be responsible for effectively interacting on bridges and production support calls to ensure all global team members are constantly informed. Engineer will follow an Agile development practice for an efficient teamwork. Experience required Experience working with Databricks to be able to manage the tasks including development, monitoring and troubleshooting the ETL jobs, etc. Writing applications with python notebooks for ETL jobs. Performance analysis and tuning skills on Apache Spark. Create/Follow patterns, best practices, and guidelines for data warehouse and datalake applications. Experience of translating diffused and complex business requirements into user stories covering functional, non-functional acceptance criteria. Proven experience of delivering across large scale data warehousing projects applying principles in terms of dimensional modelling and ETL pipeline design. Excellent SQL querying experience when working with large datasets for transformation and analysis. Good working experience with a cloud technology such as Google Cloud Platform. Working knowledge with Bigquery is desirable.
