Must-Haves (Absolutely Required):
LookML Expertise: Strong proficiency in LookML development, including explores, views, dimensions, measures, and derived tables. Must be able to write clean, efficient, and reusable LookML. Having a Looker certification is a plus.
Advanced SQL: Excellent SQL skills for data querying, manipulation, and analysis. Must be comfortable with complex queries and data transformations.
Data Warehousing Knowledge: In-depth understanding of data warehousing concepts (star schemas, snowflake schemas, etc.) and data modeling techniques.
Data Visualization Skills: Proven experience creating clear, insightful, and user-friendly data visualizations. Experience with Looker's visualization options is essential.
Requirements Gathering: Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions, working effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a strong attention to detail.
Collaboration: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
