Description
We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer, Infrastructure (DevOps) to join our dynamic team at Game Theory. This role is essential in building and maintaining robust infrastructure, deployment pipelines, and cloud resources that power our mobile applications and backend services. The successful candidate will contribute to both infrastructure management and backend development, ensuring our systems are scalable, reliable, and secure while helping redefine the way people play sports. Key Responsibilities: Infrastructure as Code : Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure using IaC tools like Terraform or CloudFormation, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security. CI/CD Pipeline Management : Build and optimize continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines to enable fast, reliable software delivery. Container Orchestration : Manage containerized applications using Kubernetes or similar orchestration systems to ensure efficient resource utilization. Cloud Services : Architect and implement cloud-based solutions (AWS/GCP/Azure) for application hosting, data storage, and processing. Monitoring and Alerting : Implement comprehensive monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to ensure application health and performance. Security Implementation : Design and enforce security best practices across infrastructure and application deployment. Backend Development : Contribute to backend development using NodeJS and MongoDB, collaborating with the development team on architectural decisions. Performance Optimization : Analyze and optimize application performance, database queries, and infrastructure costs. Disaster Recovery : Design and implement backup and recovery strategies to ensure business continuity. Documentation : Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for infrastructure, deployment processes, and operational procedures. Required Qualifications: Experience : 2-4 years of full-time work experience as a DevOps Engineer, Site Reliability Engineer, or Infrastructure Engineer. Technical Skills : Strong proficiency in at least one scripting language (Python, Bash, JavaScript) Experience with infrastructure as code tools (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation) Hands-on experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI) Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) Knowledge of monitoring and logging solutions (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack) Understanding of networking concepts and security practices Backend Development : Working knowledge of NodeJS and MongoDB or similar technologies. Problem-Solving : Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve complex infrastructure issues. Communication : Strong verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams. Education : Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Preferred Qualifications: Cloud platform certifications (AWS, GCP, or Azure). Experience with microservices architecture and serverless computing. Familiarity with database administration and optimization. Knowledge of security best practices and compliance requirements. Experience working in an agile development environment. Understanding of cost optimization strategies for cloud resources. Experience supporting mobile application backends and APIs.
