Software Engineer II

You will be an integral part of an agile team dedicated to enhancing, designing, and delivering the software components of the firm's cutting-edge technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable manner. As an emerging member of the software engineering team, you will play a crucial role in executing software solutions through designing, developing, and troubleshooting various components within technical products, applications, or systems, all while acquiring the skills to progress in your role. Your responsibilities will include executing standard software solutions, writing secure and high-quality code using at least one programming language, designing and developing with consideration of upstream and downstream systems, applying knowledge of tools in the Software Development Life Cycle to enhance automation, troubleshooting technical issues of basic complexity, analyzing data sets to identify problems and support decision-making in secure application development, learning and applying system processes for developing secure code and systems, and contributing to a team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect. To excel in this role, you must possess formal training or certification in software engineering concepts along with at least 2 years of practical experience. Demonstrable coding ability in Java is essential, as well as experience with the Spring framework (Core, REST API, web services, messaging), including Spring Boot and microservice architecture. Proficiency in data storage solutions such as SQL, NoSQL databases (Cassandra), data lakes, and S3 is required. Familiarity with logging and monitoring tools like Kibana, Splunk, Elastic Search, Dynatrace, AppDynamics, Grafana, CloudWatch, and Datadog is also beneficial. Moreover, hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability is crucial. You should have experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment using modern programming languages and database querying languages, and be familiar with the entire Software Development Life Cycle. Exposure to agile methodologies like CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security is preferred. Effective communication skills, the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders, and a willingness to stay updated with the latest trends in ML and MLOps are important for success in this role. Preferred qualifications include knowledge in Python and Scala, exposure to cloud technologies, and relevant certifications in cloud platforms such as AWS Machine Learning, DevOps, Certified Kubernetes Administrator/Developer.,
