Software Engineer

About the Role:

We are looking for a highly motivated Mid-Level PHP Developer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in PHP development, particularly with the CodeIgniter framework, and be comfortable working with databases, APIs, and server-side tools. You should be a problem solver who can take ownership of tasks, work independently, and adapt quickly to new challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and optimize web applications using PHP (CodeIgniter).
• Work with MySQL databases: design schemas, write queries, and ensure efficient data handling.
• Build and consume REST APIs for seamless system integration.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
• Collaborate with the team to design and implement new features.
• Manage code using Git for version control and participate in code reviews.
• Use CLI tools and basic server handling to deploy and troubleshoot applications.
• Debug and resolve performance and scalability issues.
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies and best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 3–5 years of professional experience in PHP development.
• Strong experience with CodeIgniter framework (knowledge of Laravel is a plus).
• Proficiency in JavaScript for frontend interactions.
• Solid understanding of MySQL (queries, indexing, optimization).
• Experience in working with REST APIs (creation and integration).
• Familiarity with Git and collaborative workflows (branching, merging, pull requests).
• Experience with CLI tools and basic Linux server handling.
• Strong problem-solving skills with an analytical mindset.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• A quick learner who can adapt to new technologies and frameworks.

Nice-to-Have (Optional):

• Experience with other PHP frameworks (Laravel, Symfony).
• Knowledge of frontend frameworks (React, Vue.js).
• Exposure to cloud hosting platforms (AWS, OCI, DigitalOcean, etc.).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
