Software Engineer

Position Title

• Work as a member of our agile software team to develop new or improved algorithms to analyze key project metrics
• Work closely with our remote operation team to better understand their day-to-day requirements and help visualize data for their reports
• Contribute to our asset management SaaS product by integrating and testing new algorithms to be deployed across all projects
• Collaborate with our US-based product team to integrate new features into the asset management product
• Bring in new ideas from other industries that can improve the user or customer experience of our stakeholders

What a qualified candidate should possess

• Experience with developing prototypes and getting feedback for continuous improvement
• Experience building software that can ingest, process, and store large amounts of time-series data in Python or similar languages
• Experience with common Python data science environment and tools used to analyze or forecast time-series data: jupyter notebooks, pandas, arrow, scikit, darts, prophet, etc
• Experience presenting analytic results to users in an intuitive manner
• Experience troubleshooting and debugging performance and logical issues
• A solid foundation in software engineering, computer science, and development best practices
• BS or MS in engineering preferred (Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related)
• Experience with Python and related data science tools is preferred
• Experience with time-series databases and SQL is preferred
• Experienced with software peer reviews and comfortable providing and receiving review feedback
• Strong communication skills
• Independent and capable of working in a fast-paced start-up environment
• Experience in renewable energy, IoT, or the energy industry is preferred
• A passion for carbon neutrality by 2050.
