This role is a full-time role with Edify Engineering and the selected candidate will be fully dedicated to support our client, Energy Vault with their Renewable Energy Storage projects globally. Energy Vault is the creator of renewable energy storage products that are transforming the worlds approach to utility-scale energy storage for grid resiliency. Our clients comprehensive offerings include our proprietary gravity, battery, hybrid/green hydrogen energy storage solutions and our technology-agnostic software suite that orchestrates and integrates multiple energy asset types (storage & generation) while optimizing dispatch, costs, revenues, and overall asset performance. About the role We are looking for a detail-oriented Electrical CAD Drafter to support the design and development of cutting-edge Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) products and network communications systems. You will be responsible for producing precise schematics, electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and network diagrams used in the manufacturing, installation, and operation of BESS products and systems. This role involves close collaboration with electrical engineers, project managers, and field technicians to ensure high-quality, code-compliant, and field-ready designs. What you will do Create and revise detailed electrical drawings including: One-line diagrams Wiring schematics Network diagrams Port-level diagrams Communication flow diagrams Protection diagrams Rack elevation drawings Review and provide feedback on drawings produced by subcontractors including: Conduit and cable schedules Grounding and interconnection drawings Coordinate with engineering teams to ensure designs align with project specifications and compliance standards (e.g., NEC, UL 9540, NFPA 70, IEC, AS 3000). Incorporate markups and feedback from engineers, installers, and QA teams. Organize drawing packages for submittals, permitting, and construction. Maintain drawing and document control through revision management and file organization. Work with multi-disciplinary teams (electrical, network, mechanical) on integrated system designs. Assist in developing templates, CAD standards, and libraries for consistent drafting practices. Shape a culture of collaboration, innovation, constant improvement, excellence, transparency, open mindedness, humility, integrity, efficiency, joy, compassion, and fulfillment Qualification Requirements: Education: Associates degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering[BF1] , Engineering Technology, Drafting or related field. A bachelors degree in electrical engineering is preferred. Experience: 3-5 years experience in electrical and network CAD design, preferably in the energy, electrical, or industrial technology sectors. Technical Skills: Proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical (or AutoCAD with strong electrical drafting skills). Proficiency with MS Visio. Familiarity with electrical symbols, wiring conventions, and standards (e.g., IEEE, NEC). Ability to read and interpret engineering plans, technical drawings, and electrical specifications. Knowledge of energy storage systems, PCS/inverters, and control wiring. Experience with electrical panels Experience with communication network and rack designs Familiarity with document control systems (e.g., Teambinder, Procore, etc.) preferred. Experience with LV, MV and HV electrical system design is preferred Understanding of utility interconnection and solar + storage integration preferred.
