About the role We are seeking a senior professional to serve as Manager, EPC Estimation APAC for Energy Vaults India operations center (IOC) within Edify Engineering Solution. IOC shall be set up in Bangalore, Karnataka and house various engineering disciplines who shall work with team leads in USA and Australia. Our Manager, EPC Estimation APAC will support cost estimation for building Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) projects in Australia. You will be part of the preconstruction team and work directly with application engineers, project execution and the commercial team. These projects are based on our technology agnostic energy storage systems to provide dynamic solutions to our clients, including utilities, governments, and industrial companies. As we rapidly grow and deliver on more contracts worldwide, you will be responsible for Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) proposal management in the APAC region, in addition to support in other regions when needed. What you will do Create turnkey construction RFPs or RFQs and work with procurement and project execution teams to identify suitable construction partner(s) to bid on BESS and Substation works. Work across teams to pull information and resources as necessary to design and differentiate customer-centric solutions into the RFP/RFP package (SLD, layouts, codes and standards, contract flow downs etc). Perform electrical and civil take offs and generate construction estimates. Run techno-economic analysis to drive optimum design and solution from a constructability point of view Possess a good understanding of environmental, geotechnical, hydrological reports and their impact to civil construction costs Possess a good understanding of electrical theory, codes, and standards and their application to BESS and Substation project construction Develop the necessary tools and processes to drive continuous improvement in Energy Vault’s customer proposals and offerings. Generate and modify project delivery program/schedule using Microsoft Project Professional. Be able to interpret & create if necessary SLDs and site layouts that accurately represent the proposed solutions Clearly present technical details, schedule, and construction related activities to customers. Attend site visits and customer meetings as requested by customers and team throughout the APAC region. Populate customer-provided response forms relative to the BoP or HV scope. Coordinate with APAC Commercial and Engineering teams to evaluate and take position on contract documents, specifications, and Principal’s Requirements. Work with team lead to identify strategic partnerships What a qualified candidate should possess 5+ years engineering experience with Energy Storage Systems (ESS) and with Renewable Generation technologies 5+ years of construction estimation experience with Renewable Energy Systems BS in engineering (electrical, mechanical, or similar) strongly preferred, but not required Licensed electrician in Australia a plus Existing relationships with Australian based EPC companies Experience in negotiating EPC contracts with subcontractors, and customers. Experience with Renewable Energy Project management is a plus Experience with electrical power systems designed for power generation, distribution, and storage Experience managing all aspects of technical solution proposal including site evaluation and analysis, technology selection and optimization, detailed costing and estimating, and EPC contract negotiations Basic knowledge of NEC, IBC, IEC, CFA, FRNSW, DFES, and IEEE requirements in renewable and energy storage industry Experience in electrical design including basic conductor sizing, protection and controls configuration, and familiarity with substation design and engineering concepts Good knowledge and understanding of inverter-based power systems including basic design principles and limitations Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 20% Comfortable in fast-paced, rapid growth environments

You will be responsible for producing precise schematics, electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and network diagrams used in the manufacturing, installation, and operation of BESS products and systems. This role involves close collaboration with electrical engineers, project managers, and field technicians to ensure high-quality, code-compliant, and field-ready designs. What you will do Create and revise detailed electrical drawings including: One-line diagrams Wiring schematics Network diagrams Port-level diagrams Communication flow diagrams Protection diagrams Rack elevation drawings Review and provide feedback on drawings produced by subcontractors including: Conduit and cable schedules Grounding and interconnection drawings Coordinate with engineering teams to ensure designs align with project specifications and compliance standards (e.g., NEC, UL 9540, NFPA 70, IEC, AS 3000). Incorporate markups and feedback from engineers, installers, and QA teams. Organize drawing packages for submittals, permitting, and construction. IOC shall be set up in Bangalore, Karnataka and house various engineering disciplines who shall work with team leads in USA and Australia. This is a pivotal and key leadership position to help Energy Vault set up and scale its engineering and operations capabilities which shall support businesses in Americas, EMEA and APAC. IOC shall staff roles in Electrical, power systems and civil design engineering for project drawing packages review and approval, power systems engineering for electrical studies, application engineering for system sizing and costing, CAD drafting for electrical SLD and layouts, project support roles such as document controls and management, project controls and contracts management, project scheduler etc. What you will do Work closely with Energy Vaults legal, finance and people ops team to set up office and operations facilities in Bangalore, India. Includes office and facility set up, payroll and legal entity set up and other frame work necessary to execute operations for Energy Vault in India. Lead and develop key strategies for hiring and training a high-performance engineering team and operations teams with fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Develop and execute the strategy aligned with the company's business objectives. Set up SOP(standard operating procedures) across all work streams with stake holders in Applications Engineering, Project Engineering, Software and controls engineering to deliver ongoing tasks and work order requests. Set up a remote operations and monitoring center for Energy Vault’s projects to provide with 24x7 plant monitoring with technical support and ticket tracking system. Drive continuous improvement by utilizing Kaizen and lean six sigma processes to improve quality and accuracy of deliverables and reduce waste. Implement best practices in engineering and project management to ensure timely delivery of work orders with great quality and accuracy. Work closely with internal and sometimes external stakeholders, including customers, partners, and regulatory bodies, to ensure alignment on technical specifications, compliance, and market needs. Identify and mitigate risks related to design, development, and deployment. Ensure compliance with regional standards, industry standards, safety regulations, and environmental policies. Manage the overall India operations budget, including any capital expenditures, staffing and facilities. Allocate resources effectively to maximize productivity and project outcomes. What a qualified candidate should possess Master’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Power systems Engineering, or a related field; Master’s or Ph.D. with MBA preferred. 15+ years of experience in running engineering and operations in leadership roles, with a focus on power systems and project execution and delivery. Experience with Solar, Wind, Gas turbine or Energy Storage necessary Proven track record of managing diverse team and delivering projects. Strong leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to inspire and develop engineering talent. Excellent project management skills, with experience managing complex, multidisciplinary projects. Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
