About the role We are seeking a senior professional to serve as Manager, EPC Estimation APAC for Energy Vaults India operations center (IOC) within Edify Engineering Solution. IOC shall be set up in Bangalore, Karnataka and house various engineering disciplines who shall work with team leads in USA and Australia. Our Manager, EPC Estimation APAC will support cost estimation for building Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) projects in Australia. You will be part of the preconstruction team and work directly with application engineers, project execution and the commercial team. These projects are based on our technology agnostic energy storage systems to provide dynamic solutions to our clients, including utilities, governments, and industrial companies. As we rapidly grow and deliver on more contracts worldwide, you will be responsible for Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) proposal management in the APAC region, in addition to support in other regions when needed. What you will do Create turnkey construction RFPs or RFQs and work with procurement and project execution teams to identify suitable construction partner(s) to bid on BESS and Substation works. Work across teams to pull information and resources as necessary to design and differentiate customer-centric solutions into the RFP/RFP package (SLD, layouts, codes and standards, contract flow downs etc). Perform electrical and civil take offs and generate construction estimates. Run techno-economic analysis to drive optimum design and solution from a constructability point of view Possess a good understanding of environmental, geotechnical, hydrological reports and their impact to civil construction costs Possess a good understanding of electrical theory, codes, and standards and their application to BESS and Substation project construction Develop the necessary tools and processes to drive continuous improvement in Energy Vault’s customer proposals and offerings. Generate and modify project delivery program/schedule using Microsoft Project Professional. Be able to interpret & create if necessary SLDs and site layouts that accurately represent the proposed solutions Clearly present technical details, schedule, and construction related activities to customers. Attend site visits and customer meetings as requested by customers and team throughout the APAC region. Populate customer-provided response forms relative to the BoP or HV scope. Coordinate with APAC Commercial and Engineering teams to evaluate and take position on contract documents, specifications, and Principal’s Requirements. Work with team lead to identify strategic partnerships What a qualified candidate should possess 5+ years engineering experience with Energy Storage Systems (ESS) and with Renewable Generation technologies 5+ years of construction estimation experience with Renewable Energy Systems BS in engineering (electrical, mechanical, or similar) strongly preferred, but not required Licensed electrician in Australia a plus Existing relationships with Australian based EPC companies Experience in negotiating EPC contracts with subcontractors, and customers.
