Software Engineer

Role Overview: You will be applying the principles of software engineering to design, develop, maintain, test, and evaluate software and computer systems. Working cross-functionally, you will understand business requirements, evaluate alternative approaches, and ensure that software and systems are designed for ease of use and seamless integration. You will be incorporating state-of-the-art concepts, tools, and practices to enhance system functionality, security, and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities: - Provide Software Engineering for an assigned set of system elements. - Design, code, test, and document basic and moderately complex components following standard protocols and coding guidelines. - Offer technical support and troubleshooting for new and existing systems, along with making recommendations for improvements. - Participate in discussions regarding feature development, project estimation, and resource planning. - Adhere to secure coding practices and testing requirements, writing automated unit and system tests to ensure coverage for common code paths. - Contribute ideas to a development team and notify the team or technical manager of variances from plans, identifying scope changes or work adjustments. - Build relationships with cross-functional engineers and teams, aiming to broaden technical understanding. Qualification Required: - Minimum of 2+ years of hands-on experience implementing solutions for integrating on-premises and/or cloud systems. - Familiarity with the full software development life cycle, continuous integration, unit testing, and version control. - Degree in Computer Science, IT, Computer Engineering, MIS, Mathematics, or related field (MBA or MS degree preferred). - Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical aspects clearly and operate effectively in a fast-paced environment with evolving project requirements. - Experience in a cross-functional, cross-geography product/content development setup. - Proficiency in HTML5/XML/CSS, Angular (at least Angular2) or React, C# / .NET Core, MS SQL, Couch DB/No SQL, and REST. - Knowledge of Node.JS, Kendo UI or any other UI component library, Windows Controls, TypeScript, React JS, Azure SQL, Docker, Redis, Azure Exposure, RabbitMQ, Jenkins, Kubernetes, and exposure to SSO/OAuth/OIDC is a plus.
