Software Engineer 1

As a Software Engineer I at LexisNexis Legal & Professional, you will be involved in moderate research, design, and software development tasks within a specific software functional area or product line. Your role will require you to collaborate with other team members to understand product requirements and translate them into software designs. You will work in various development environments and resolve technical issues as necessary. Keeping abreast of new technological developments will be essential in this role. Some of your key responsibilities include: - Writing and reviewing portions of detailed specifications for the development of system components of moderate complexity. - Completing simple bug fixes. - Collaborating with other development team members to understand product requirements and translate them into software designs. - Operating in various development environments (Agile, Waterfall, etc.) while collaborating with key stakeholders. - Resolving technical issues as necessary. - Keeping abreast of new technological developments. To excel in this role, you should meet the following requirements: - 1 to 3 years of experience in software development. - Experience working with Java, J2EE, Spring, Spring-boot, and Microservices. - Proficiency in HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, JavaScript, jQuery, and Ajax. - Experience working with any database (MS SQL, Oracle, MYSQL) or NoSQL (MongoDB). - Knowledge of containerization and orchestration. - Good to have experience with Angular JS, React, or Vue.JS. - Must have implemented projects on AWS Cloud. - Good to have DevOps knowledge in CI/CD Pipelines, Docker, or Kubernetes. - Experience working in Source Code Management using GIT. - Experience in developing software within the Scrum framework.
