Software Development Engineer 2 (Python/Django)

You will be joining Vector Consulting Group's software development team, specializing in Product Development and boasting high expertise in the software development life cycle. The team's products are utilized by leading enterprises in various domains such as Retail, Consumer Products, Automobile, Textile, Engineering, and Construction across India. **Key Responsibilities:** - Software developer role requiring 3 to 5 years of experience in: - Python programming (2+ years) - Django programming (2+ years) - Any SQL (MySQL / MS SQL etc) (2+ years) - Integrating database with python scripts to fetch data from and write data back to the database - Good to have experience in: - Generating reports on excel through Python - Creating Dashboards and Charts through Python - Must have worked with: - Design, implementation, and review of solutions - Processes like technical design, Coding, Unit testing, Code review, and deployment - Taking ownership of tasks and possessing strong communication skills - Demonstrating excellent problem-solving and analytical skills - Ideally, having experience in a fast-paced start-up and AGILE culture - Possessing an innovative mind with an aptitude for exploring new tools and technologies **Qualifications Required:** - 3 to 5 years of experience in Python, Django, and SQL - Proficiency in integrating databases with Python scripts - Experience in generating reports and creating Dashboards and Charts using Python - Strong understanding of software development processes including technical design, coding, testing, review, and deployment - Excellent problem-solving abilities and analytical skills - Previous experience in a fast-paced start-up environment and familiarity with AGILE methodologies Please note that the job is located in Thane and requires working from the office with a 5-day workweek.
