Software Developer III - AI/LLM

At Project Tech4Dev, we provide solutions ranging from providing open source platforms to NGOs to building tech capacity in non-profits. We equip non-profits with the technology they need to amplify their impact. Our open source platforms include- Glific, Development Data Platform, and Avni. Responsibilities

• Develop and scale technology platforms using state-of-the-art approaches in AI, ML, and LLMs.
• Collaborate with other engineers to build robust and efficient systems.
• Contribute to system design and architecture decisions in consultation with senior engineers.
• Design, implement, and optimize machine learning algorithms, with a focus on Generative AI and NLP applications.
• Analyze and preprocess large datasets to build, fine-tune, and evaluate models.
• Run experiments to assess model performance, robustness, and equity—particularly in low-resource or Global South contexts.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to align AI efforts with partner and program goals.
• Contribute to delivering projects by writing clean, maintainable code and meeting timelines.
  

Qualifications & Experience

• 5–7 years of professional experience in software development, data science, or machine learning.
• Strong hands-on experience working with Python and deep learning frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• Experience in building and deploying machine learning or NLP models in real-world or production settings.
• Exposure to LLMs and the open-source AI ecosystem (e.g., Hugging Face, LangChain, vector databases).
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Machine Learning, or a related field.



Skills & Competencies

• Solid understanding of machine learning and deep learning, especially in NLP and Generative AI.
• Strong coding and debugging skills in Python.
• Comfortable collaborating in agile, cross-functional environments.
• Ability to document, test, and troubleshoot your code effectively.
• Growth mindset and interest in using technology to solve real-world, social impact challenges.

Compensation

• The expected

  compensation range for this role is ₹14–23 LPA
