Job Description

Overview:

The Soft Skill Trainer will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering impactful training programs that enhance students and employees interpersonal, communication, and professional competencies. The role focuses on improving employability and personal development through interactive workshops, role plays, and experiential learning sessions aligned with institutional objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct training sessions on

    communication skills, presentation skills, personality development, workplace etiquette, time management, and teamwork.

  • Develop and deliver customized training content, modules, and activities suitable for diverse learner groups.
  • Evaluate participants performance and provide feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate with departments to identify training needs and develop appropriate modules.
  • Prepare training schedules and maintain attendance and performance records.
  • Support pre-placement training and professional development programs for students.
  • Collaborate with academic and HR teams to ensure alignment of training objectives with institutional goals.
  • Facilitate interactive sessions that promote confidence, articulation, and professional grooming.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in English from Jadavpur University, University of Calcutta, or any other recognized university of equivalent standing.
  • Certifications in Communicative English or related fields will be an added advantage.
  • 3–5 years of experience in soft skills or communication training in academic or corporate environments preferred assessment techniques.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Excellent command over spoken and written English.
  • Strong facilitation and presentation skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
  • Expertise in interpersonal communication, conflict resolution, and professional etiquette.
  • Ability to assess learner needs and adapt content delivery accordingly.
  • Creativity in designing activity-based learning sessions.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
