Description
As a Sr Business Intelligence Engineer specializing in Power BI and AWS QuickSight within finance and manufacturing, your primary role is to design and maintain data-driven solutions that support financial reporting, operational efficiency, and strategic decision-making. Your key responsibilities include: - Developing Power BI and AWS QuickSight dashboards to track key financial metrics such as revenue, expenses, cost of goods sold, profit margins, working capital, etc. - Providing financial insights on budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis. - Supporting financial planning and analysis (FP&A) teams with data-driven decision-making. - Automating financial reports to reduce manual effort and enhance accuracy. - Creating dashboards to monitor manufacturing KPIs including production efficiency, machine downtime, yield rates, scrap rates, and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE). - Tracking supply chain costs, procurement efficiency, and vendor performance. - Designing and maintaining financial and manufacturing data models in Power BI. - Extracting, transforming, and loading (ETL) data from ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Dynamics 365, etc.), MES, AWS Redshift, and other operational databases. - Ensuring data consistency and accuracy across finance and production units. - Automating and optimizing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting. - Implementing row-level security (RLS) and role-based access control (RBAC) to ensure data security. - Ensuring compliance with financial regulations (GAAP, IFRS, SOX) and manufacturing standards (ISO, Lean, Six Sigma). - Maintaining audit trails and financial data governance policies. - Optimizing Power BI reports, DAX calculations, and data models for faster performance. - Improving report refresh times and optimizing queries for large datasets. - Implementing best practices for data visualization and interactive reporting. - Integrating Power BI with AI/ML tools for demand forecasting, cost predictions, and risk assessments. - Working closely with finance, manufacturing, supply chain, and IT teams to align reporting needs. - Supporting CFOs, plant managers, finance analysts, and operational teams with actionable insights. - Providing Power BI training to enable self-service reporting for finance and manufacturing teams. - Monitoring Power BI reports and troubleshooting data-related issues. Qualifications we're looking for: - 10+ years of experience with Datawarehouse, Datalake ETL platforms. - 10+ years of experience with Data Modelling frameworks such as Data Vault 2.0/Star Model/Snowflake Model. - 10+ years of experience with Business Intelligence technologies like PowerBI, Tableau, Quick Sight. - 8+ years of experience in SQL scripting including SCD1, SCD2 & SCD3 logic. - 8+ years of experience working on relational databases such as AWS Redshift, Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, PostgreSQL, MySQL, SAP Hana. - 5+ years of experience with NoSQL solutions like DynamoDB, Big Table, MongoDB, Cassandra. - 5+ years of experience with Power BI, SSAS, SSRS, and SSIS components of the Microsoft Business Intelligence Stack. - 8+ years of experience with tools and technologies used by the Microsoft SQL Server BI Stack, including SSRS and TSQL, Power Query, MDX, PowerBI, and DAX. - 5+ years of experience with Python/Java/Scala programming languages. - Agile methodology and skill, including experience with Scrum Ceremonies and work management tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, ADO). - Working as a cross-functional team member to support multiple work streams and products. - Excellent Communication Skills. - Experience in AWS Foundation and Organizations. Education and Certification: - Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Data Science, or equivalent work experience. - Microsoft Certification: Power BI Data Analyst Associate. - AWS Certification - Database, Data Engineer, AWS Certified Solutions Architect.,
