Job Title: Teacher (English, Computer, and Personality Development)Organization Type: Non-Governmental Organization (NGO)Location: [Azamgarh, U.P.]Job Type: Full-Time / Contractual (as applicable)Reports To: Program Coordinator / Education ManagerJob Summary:We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Teacher to join our NGO's educational program. The ideal candidate will be responsible for teaching English language, basic computer skills, and personality development to youth and/or adult learners from underprivileged backgrounds. The teacher will play a crucial role in building the confidence and skills of learners to help them become employable, self-reliant, and socially empowered Key Responsibilities:Plan and deliver engaging and interactive lessons in: Spoken and written English Basic computer applications (MS Office, Internet usage, email, typing, etc.) Personality development (communication skills, body language, interview preparation, time management, etc.) Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, and assessments aligned with learner needs. Conduct pre- and post-training evaluations to track student progress. Use activity-based and learner-centered teaching methods. Create a positive, respectful, and inclusive learning environment. Provide one-on-one mentorship and support to students when needed. Maintain accurate records of attendance, performance, and progress reports. Coordinate with program staff to align teaching methods with the NGO’s educational goals. Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and community outreach programs. Qualifications and Skills:Bachelor’s degree in Education, English, Computer Science, or a related field. Prior teaching or training experience preferred (especially in NGOs or low-resource settings). Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Proficient in English and basic computer applications. Ability to connect with learners from diverse and disadvantaged backgrounds. Patience, empathy, and a passion for social impact. Basic knowledge of local language(s) is an advantage. Work Environment: May involve teaching at multiple centers or community locations. May require occasional work on weekends for special sessions or events. Flexibility in teaching hours depending on student availability.
