Site technician - Desktop Support Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

Desktop Support:

·        Providing technical assistance to en

·        d-users for computer hardware and software problems. 

·        Troubleshooting issues with operating systems (like Windows), email clients (like Outlook), and other common software. 

·        Installing, configuring, and maintaining desktop and laptop computers, printers, and other peripherals. 

·        Managing user accounts and access permissions. 

Cabling and Infrastructure:

·        Installing, terminating, and testing copper and fiber optic cables. 

·        Troubleshooting cable and network connectivity issues. 

·        Working with network equipment such as routers, switches, and access points. 

·        Potentially assisting with the installation of other low-voltage systems like security cameras or audio-visual equipment. 

General IT Support:

·        Maintaining and updating IT equipment inventory. 

·        Documenting troubleshooting steps and procedures. 

·        Working with vendors for hardware and software support. 

·        Ensuring a safe and secure IT environment. 

Factory-Specific Tasks:

·        May be involved in supporting specialized equipment or systems used in the factory setting. 

·        May need to adapt to shift work or non-standard work schedules to support factory operations. 

·        May need to work with production teams to resolve IT-related issues impacting manufacturing processes.
