Site Safety Officer – Precast Compound Wall Construction

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Site Safety Officer to be stationed at our Boisar site. The Safety Officer will be responsible for ensuring strict compliance with safety standards, evaluating site activities, and implementing safety procedures during the construction of a precast compound wall. The role includes monitoring day-to-day operations, conducting safety training, audits, and ensuring that the construction process adheres to local and company-specific safety regulations.   Key Responsibilities: Conduct site safety assessments and risk evaluations specific to precast wall construction activities. Implement and maintain safety protocols, emergency procedures, and site-specific safety plans. Monitor on-site work to ensure compliance with legal and organizational safety standards. Conduct safety induction and toolbox talks for all workers, subcontractors, and visitors. Ensure proper use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) by all site personnel. Identify unsafe acts or conditions and recommend corrective/preventive actions. Investigate incidents/accidents and prepare detailed reports with root cause analysis and corrective actions. Coordinate with site engineers, contractors, and management to promote a culture of safety. Maintain safety documentation, inspection records, permits, and training logs. Ensure compliance with local statutory safety regulations (e.g., Factory Act, Building & Other Construction Workers Rules). Assist in preparing site-specific Method Statements and Job Hazard Analyses (JHA). Qualifications & Experience: Diploma/Degree in Engineering or Science (preferred) Certification in Industrial Safety from a recognized institute ADIS Minimum 3–5 years of safety experience in construction, preferably in civil infrastructure projects Knowledge of relevant local safety regulations and codes Proficient in preparing safety reports, risk assessments, and incident documentation Strong communication and leadership skills Fluency in Hindi, Marathi and Little English is desirable   Preferred Skills: Familiarity with precast concrete handling, lifting, and erection safety Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced construction environment Good organizational and observational skills Conflict resolution and decision-making abilities   Working Conditions: Full-time site-based role at Boisar, Palghar,Mumbai, Maharashtra 6-day work week (as per project requirements) May involve extended hours based on site activity
