Site Reliability Engineer

As a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) at Assurant, you will be part of the Assurant Reliability Team focusing on Site Reliability Engineering. Your role will involve building and maintaining reliable, scalable systems through a combination of software development and network diagnostics. You will need to have a high level of technical proficiency and the ability to work independently in a distributed team environment. This remote position, based in India, will require you to be located in Hyderabad/Bangalore or at the India location. The work timing for this position is from 3:30 PM IST to 12:30 AM IST. **Key Responsibilities:** - Design, develop, and maintain tools and systems using programming languages such as C#.NET, VB.NET, Python, or Node.js. - Utilize Visual Studio Code or Visual Studio Enterprise for development tasks. - Programming responsibilities will comprise 60-70% of the role, which is considered the primary skillset. - Diagnose and resolve network-related issues with a strong understanding of network technologies and protocols. - Network responsibilities will make up approximately 30% of the role. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure system reliability and performance across production environments. **Qualifications Required:** - Level 4 proficiency (0 poor - 4 Excellent) in software development, particularly in 3GL languages. - Level 3 proficiency (0 poor - 4 Excellent) in network engineering. - English fluency at level 4 (excellent) scale. - Overall 5+ years of experience in SRE along with Network Engineer (L3) + Software Development (C#.NET/VB.NET/Python/Node.js). - Certification in one or more of the programming languages listed above (C#.NET, VB.NET, Python, Node.js). - Certification in Azure Solutions Architect, AWS Solutions Architect Professional, Wireshark Certified Analyst (WCA), or Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) would be highly desirable. - Experience with disaster recovery planning and design is beneficial.,
