Site Engineer – Civil & Interior Works (Onsite, Ranchi)

Location: Ranchi, Jharkhand (Full-time onsite placement) About the Role: We are seeking a proactive and dedicated Site Engineer to join our team in Ranchi. The role requires hands-on supervision of civil and interior construction works, along with a strong focus on operational efficiency and project reporting. You will be responsible for ensuring high-quality execution on site, coordinating with vendors and clients, and assisting in documentation aligned with both private and government project standards. Key Responsibilities: Oversee daily execution of civil construction and interior finishing works , including: False ceilings Flooring Carpentry Exterior cladding Supervise site teams and ensure work is aligned with drawings, timelines, and quality benchmarks Create and implement SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) for on-site processes Prepare BoQs , estimate materials and quantities as per DSR (Delhi Schedule of Rates) and Jharkhand Schedule of Rates Assist in execution of government DPRs, maintain measurement books , daily progress reports, and site documentation Coordinate with vendors and ensure timely delivery and execution of work Communicate with clients in both English and Hindi for updates, queries, and site visits Track and manage material consumption and wastage Ensure site safety and compliance at all times Key Requirements: Bachelor’s/Diploma in Civil Engineering or related field 2–5 years of site experience preferred (freshers with strong fundamentals may also apply) Solid understanding of civil and interior construction techniques Ability to read working drawings and execute accordingly Familiarity with BoQ preparation and rate analysis Experience in working with government project formats is a plus Proficiency in MS Excel and Google Sheets for documentation and reporting Strong communication and coordination skills Hardworking, confident, and eager to learn What We Offer: Opportunity to work on diverse residential, institutional and urban scale projects Learning-focused, growth-driven work environment Exposure to both private and public sector project execution On-ground project management experience Please send us your resume at tunishamehta@altarq.co Show more Show less
