Site Engineer (Civil)

Job Summary

The Site Engineer will be responsible for day-to-day site supervision, coordination, and execution of construction activities as per drawings, specifications, and project timelines. The role ensures quality, safety, and timely completion of work while maintaining coordination among all project stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Site Execution & Supervision
• Execute and monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with design, quality, and safety standards.
• Check levels, dimensions, and layouts as per approved drawings.
• Ensure daily progress as per the project schedule.
• Coordination
• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and consultants for smooth execution.
• Liaise with architects, MEP, and structural teams for resolving site issues.
• Support the Project Manager in site-level planning and resource management.
• Quality Assurance
• Inspect materials and workmanship to maintain required quality standards.
• Ensure work is executed as per approved method statements and drawings.
• Maintain site inspection records and quality checklists.
• Progress Monitoring & Reporting
• Maintain daily progress reports (DPR) and site diaries.
• Report site issues, deviations, and delays to the Project Manager.
• Support preparation of weekly and monthly progress reports.
• Material & Resource Management
• Verify material quantities, consumption, and reconcile with BOQ.
• Ensure proper utilization of manpower, materials, and machinery.
• Raise material requisitions in advance to avoid delays.
• Safety & Compliance
• Implement and monitor safety protocols and site cleanliness.
• Conduct toolbox talks and ensure all workers follow PPE norms.
• Ensure compliance with statutory and company policies.
