Description
As a Civil Engineer specializing in Substation Construction & Bay Works, you will play a crucial role in the planning, design, and supervision of high-voltage indoor and outdoor substations. Your expertise in civil and structural engineering will be essential for ensuring the successful completion of utility and power infrastructure projects. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct site evaluations, including topographical surveys and geotechnical assessments, to determine site feasibility. - Develop detailed civil engineering designs for indoor and outdoor substations, including foundation design, site grading, drainage, access roads, and structural design. - Manage the civil and structural scope for individual substation bays, ensuring proper placement and structural support for primary equipment. - Oversee civil contractors to ensure adherence to design specifications, quality standards, and project timelines. - Implement QA/QC procedures for all civil activities and ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards. - Coordinate closely with electrical and mechanical engineers to integrate civil works with substation equipment and comply with regulatory codes. - Prepare and verify "As-Built" drawings and documentation for completed civil works. Required Qualifications & Skills: - Education: Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering. - Experience: Minimum 3+ years of experience in civil engineering, with a focus on electrical substations. - Proficiency in CAD software, structural analysis software, and knowledge of civil and structural design codes. - Strong communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and project management skills.
