Shrink Machine Engineer

Key ResponsibilitiesMachine Manufacturing & Assembly

• Assemble, install, and commission shrink wrapping machines (single pack, multi-pack, tray + film type).
• Work on heat tunnel systems, conveyors, sealing units, and film feeding mechanisms.
• Ensure machine build quality as per approved drawings and specifications.

Installation & Commissioning

• Perform on-site installation and commissioning of shrink machines at customer locations.
• Integrate shrink machines with complete beverage production lines (filling, capping, labeling).
• Conduct trial runs and achieve desired output speed and packing quality.

Maintenance & Troubleshooting

• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and PLC-related issues.
• Handle breakdown maintenance and preventive maintenance schedules.
• Reduce machine downtime through effective root cause analysis.

Electrical & Control Systems

• Work with PLC, sensors, VFDs, temperature controllers, and control panels.
• Coordinate with electrical engineers for wiring, control logic, and automation improvements.
• Ensure proper safety interlocks and machine guarding.

Quality & Safety

• Ensure machines comply with industry safety standards and quality norms.
• Maintain documentation for machine manuals, SOPs, and service reports.
• Follow company safety policies during manufacturing and site work.

Customer Support & Training

• Provide technical training to customer operators and maintenance staff.
• Handle customer complaints and provide timely technical solutions.
• Support after-sales service and machine upgrades.

Required Skills & CompetenciesTechnical Skills

• Strong knowledge of shrink wrapping machines & heat tunnel technology
• Experience with beverage packaging lines
• Mechanical drawing understanding
• Pneumatics & basic hydraulics
• PLC & automation basics
• Electrical troubleshooting (sensors, motors, heaters)

Soft Skills

• Problem-solving attitude
• Ability to work under pressure
• Good communication with customers & internal teams
• Willingness to travel for installation and service

Qualification

• Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or Automation Engineering

Experience

• 3–7 years of relevant experience in shrink machine manufacturing or beverage packaging machinery

Preferred Industry Experience

• Beverage & liquid packaging machinery
• Bottling plants (Water, Soft Drinks, CSD, Juice)
• Packaging machinery manufacturers

Working Conditions

• Factory-based with frequent client site visits
• Occasional extended working hours during commissioning
• Domestic travel required

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
