About the Role :

• We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Shopify Developer to join our growing e-commerce engineering team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in building and customizing Shopify stores, apps, and integrations. A deep understanding of secure payment gateways, KYC/AML compliance integrations, and BNPL (Buy Now Pay Later) solutions is essential.

Key Responsibilities :

• - Design, develop, and implement custom Shopify themes and apps tailored to specific business requirements.
• - Build robust, scalable, and secure integrations with third-party platforms including :
• 1. GoCardless (direct debit and recurring payment solutions)
• 2. Leading KYC/AML providers such as Equifax, GBG, and Experian
• 3. BNPL (Buy Now Pay Later) providers and their Shopify-compatible modules
• - Maintain and enhance the functionality of existing Shopify stores and apps.
• - Ensure platform performance, responsiveness, and compatibility across devices and browsers.
• - Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product Managers, Designers, Backend Developers, and Compliance experts.
• - Implement version control, CI/CD pipelines, and maintain clean, well-documented code.
• - Continuously improve code quality, technical documentation, and system reliability.
• Technical Skills Required :
• - Strong expertise in Shopify development, both front-end and back-end (Shopify Plus is a plus).
• - Proficient in Liquid templating language, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, AJAX, and RESTful APIs.
• - Experience integrating GoCardless APIs or similar direct debit solutions into Shopify.
• - Hands-on experience with KYC/AML integrations, especially with platforms like Equifax, GBG, Experian, or similar.
• - Familiarity with BNPL (Buy Now Pay Later) integrations (e.g., Klarna, Afterpay, Sezzle, etc.) on Shopify.
• - Solid understanding of data security standards and compliance in payment and identity verification modules.
• - Working knowledge of Git, Jira, Postman, and performance monitoring tools.
• - Experience with app development (Shopify Private/Public Apps) and the Shopify CLI.

Preferred Qualifications :

• - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• - Shopify Developer Certification (if available) will be an added advantage.
• - Exposure to agile development methodologies.
• - Experience working with international payment gateways and compliance tools is preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹100,000.00 per month
