Job Description

Role & responsibilities Safety Target Zero Lost Time Cases (LTC) Ensure 100% compliance in accepting work permits for all engineering and non-routine tasks, with proper job safety risk assessments attached Provide special focus on high-risk activities such as line breaks, hot work, and confined space entry Maintain zero tolerance towards unsafe behavior Demonstrate and lead strict adherence to safety standards and compliance on the shop floor Conduct periodic Gemba rounds to proactively identify and control unsafe acts and unsafe conditions Lead safety audits, visits, and ensure thorough documentation Production Lead section start-up with a focus on zero safety incidents, zero quality incidents, and zero production losses due to material non-availability Foster a process and system-driven culture in operations management Ensure production output aligns with the daily/monthly production plan Drive high inventory accuracy (match physical stock with system records) Ensure 100% batch postings and material consumption recording in MES & ERP systems Maintain effective 5S practices across the shop floor Generate and release periodic production reports as per internal governance requirements Actively participate in regular plant review meetings Lead efforts to achieve benchmark Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) Drive and support internal/external audits and stakeholder visits Maintain comprehensive production documentation Ensure seamless shift handover as per Handover-Takeover (HOTO) protocols Plan and ensure complete availability of raw materials, packing materials, and consumables for the upcoming shift Quality Ensure all operations and tasks are carried out as per documented and approved procedures Monitor and maintain input and output quality as per approved specifications Eliminate contamination risks through disciplined shop floor practices and appropriate engineering/administrative controls Operate within Standard Operating Conditions (within aim and control limits) Use data analysis to offer engineering solutions supporting quality assurance, complaint resolution, process control, and troubleshooting Cost Identify and eliminate operational losses Improve yield and equipment efficiency by optimizing operations based on equipment design capabilities Team / Manpower Build team capability in understanding the engineering principles behind section equipment Coach and mentor staff on operational nuances to improve ownership and effectiveness in day-to-day activities Preferred candidate profile Heat Treatment Melting Furnace Casting Induction Furnace If Interested then connect with shravani.m@genxhire.in OR 7710889351
