Shift Incharge (Calcium Chloride)

Qualification- B.E/B.Tech Chemical/BSc./Diploma with experience of 6+ years in medium to large chemical industries. Should have previous experience of working in calcium chloride plant. .

Responsibilities:

1. Production Planning & Scheduling

• Prepare and execute

  daily and shift-wise production plans

  in alignment with monthly and annual production targets and budgets.
• Plan and coordinate

  plant shutdowns, equipment maintenance, and process jobs

  to ensure minimal downtime.
• Oversee all

  shift activities

  , ensuring consistent plant operations and adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Focus on

  process optimization

  and

  quality improvement

  through continuous monitoring and feedback.

2. Process Monitoring & Control

• Monitor and control key

  process parameters

  such as pressure, temperature, flow, level, and concentration
• Supervise plant performance and guide the team in implementing

  corrective actions

  to maintain operational stability and efficiency.
• Review and analyze daily

  production, raw material consumption, and equipment performance reports

  ; share findings with senior management.
• Maintain detailed

  shift logs

  and ensure proper handover with adequate communication during shift changes.

3. Inventory Planning & Budgeting

• Oversee

  inventory management

  of raw materials, consumables, and finished goods through periodic physical stock verification.
• Coordinate with procurement and maintenance teams to ensure

  availability of spares and materials

  for uninterrupted operations.
• Support budgeting activities and ensure cost optimization without compromising safety or quality standards.
  

4. Quality, Environment, Health & Safety (QEHS) Management

• Ensure all processes comply with

  quality standards

  and initiate prompt actions for any deviations.
• Review product specifications and ensure product output meets defined

  quality parameters

• Enforce strict adherence to

  safety norms

  PPE usage

  , and

  permit-to-work systems

  to minimize chemical exposure and workplace incidents.
• Ensure compliance with

  air and water pollution norms

5. Manufacturing Support & Continuous Improvement

• Collaborate with

  Process Development, Quality Control, and Quality Assurance

  teams to enhance product consistency and efficiency.
• Support

  documentation

  audit readiness

  regulatory compliance

  related to production processes.
• Drive

  continuous improvement projects

  to enhance process reliability, reduce waste, and improve yield.

Education:

• Minimum

  6+ years of experience

  in medium to large

  chemical manufacturing industries

  .
• Prior experience working in a

  Calcium Chloride Plant

  is

  mandatory

  .
• Strong operational knowledge of

  plant processes

  ,

  chemical handling

  , and

  production systems

  .
• Proficient in

  computer applications

  SAP

  MS Office

  , and

  production reporting tools

• Sound understanding and practical exposure to
