Shift Incharge

Objectives of the Position

Responsibility of Technical, Quality and cost-effective manufacturing of Cellasto operations in the shifts. It also involves plant and process safety, Health and Environmental activities related to the plant and personnel working in the plant.

Main Areas of Responsibilities and Key Activities

Related to Production:

1) Coordinate and manage production in shift with consistent quality as per the target.
2) Implement Safety, Health and Environment system of the plant concerning man and equipment. 3) Monitor all plant production and processing equipment. 4) Continuous improvement of plant in coordination with the Assistant manager / Production Manager / Plant Manager in the shifts to reduce rejection, increase in yields, increase operational ease and ultimately leading to cost effective production. 5) Follow the implemented standards and procedures: ISO9001/ ISO140001/ IATF 16949/ISO 50001/5S. 6) Guide a group of Operators in the plant continuously to ensure product quality of international standard. 7) Troubleshoot in case of any problems in the plant. 8) Responsible for ISO 9001 and 5S documentation and adherence.

Related to Responsible Care Management Systems:

9) Undertake all RC training required by the job.
10) Act as EHS representative in the shift. Ensure that discharge parameters of all the emissions in the plant are within the statutory limits and health and hygiene of the plant personnel is well maintained in the shifts. 11) Guide shop floor personnel towards S.H.E. (Safety, Health and Environment) /Responsible care /cleanliness of the plant (5S) /discipline for improving BASF’s safe work culture in the shifts. This ensures compliance of BASF’s statutory requirements, which also includes the training of the subordinates regarding the safety aspects and handling of the critical hazardous chemicals. 12) Adherence to the PPE usage of the plant personnel and work permit system is properly followed in the shifts. 13) Compliance to process safety and environmental protection code as per BASF Practice. 14) Report and inform all injuries, near misses, unsafe conditions or practices and exposures to any hazardous substances. 15) Perform the role as a first aider, rush to the incident spot in case of emergency in the site. 16) For emergency in Cellasto plant, coordinate with incident controller & follow his instructions.

Job Requirements (minimum requirement to carry out the work)

Education: BE - Chemical Working Experience: 03-10 yrs. Technical & Professional Knowledge: Chemical Process/ Machine operation
