Job Profile: Shadow Teacher at Tollygunge Position Title: Shadow Teacher Required fpr class 3 student Work Environment: Schools, Special Education Centers, or Home-based Learning Reporting To: Classroom Teacher / Parents Employment Type: Full-time Teacher should be from :South Kolkata Objective / Purpose: To provide one-on-one academic and behavioral support to a student with special needs or learning difficulties, ensuring they are included in mainstream classroom activities and are able to access the curriculum effectively. Key Responsibilities: Individual Support: Assist the assigned student during classroom activities, helping them stay focused, follow instructions, and complete tasks. Inclusion Facilitation: Promote social interaction and integration with peers, ensuring the child feels included and accepted in the classroom environment. Behavior Management: Support the development of appropriate classroom behavior through positive reinforcement and consistent strategies aligned with the IEP (Individualized Education Plan). Academic Assistance: Break down lessons into simpler parts, re-explain concepts, and provide customized learning techniques based on the student's needs. Monitoring & Reporting: Track the student’s progress, behavior, and participation; report regularly to teachers, parents, and special educators. Collaboration: Work closely with classroom teachers, therapists, and parents to ensure a consistent support system is in place. Encouragement & Motivation: Build the student’s confidence and independence by offering continuous encouragement and celebrating small milestones.
