Shadow Teacher

Key Responsibilities
Provide Academic Support: Assist the student with classroom tasks, adapt lesson materials, help with homework and assessments, and clarify instructions for projects and tests.Promote Social and Behavioral Development: Encourage positive interaction with peers, foster communication skills, and manage challenging behaviors using effective strategies.Facilitate Inclusion: Help the student integrate socially in the classroom, manage distractions, and participate in group activities, enabling access to the same educational opportunities as classmates.Implement Individualized Education Plan (IEP): Collaborate with teachers, parents, and specialists to follow and update the student’s IEP and review developmental progress.Build Relationships: Foster trust and confidence, serving as a consistent point of contact for the student, parents, and teachers.Gradually Promote Independence: Set tasks and learning goals that empower the child to become more autonomous, reducing dependence on shadow support over time.Maintain Communication: Provide regular feedback and reports to classroom teachers, parents, and support teams.Collaborate with Educators: Work closely with mainstream teachers and support teams to adapt lesson plans and utilize teaching strategies that best suit the student’s needs
