Job Summary:

Assistant Manager Network

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the

  mid-mile network

  across designated sort centres and transit hubs.
• Coordinate and manage

  linehaul and transportation schedules

  between fulfilment centres, sort centers, and delivery hubs.
• Monitor

  network performance metrics

  such as on-time arrival (OTA), transit SLA, trailer utilization, and delay recovery.
• Analyse volume trends, forecast capacity, and plan network routes accordingly to maintain cost efficiency and service levels.
  
• Liaise with internal stakeholders (first mile, last mile, transportation, planning, and technology teams) to ensure seamless operations.
  
• Collaborate with 3PL/transport vendors for fleet allocation, route adherence, and issue resolution.
  
• Implement and track continuous improvement initiatives to improve mid-mile reliability and cost per shipment.
  
• Ensure operational compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards at all times.
  
• Lead periodic audits and SOP reviews for sort centre network processes.
  
• Maintain accurate documentation, MIS reporting, and dashboards for senior management.
  

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  
• Minimum 5 years of experience in logistics, mid-mile/linehaul transportation, or sort centre operations.
  
• Strong understanding of

  transportation planning

  ,

  route optimization

  sort centre network design

• Experience working in high-volume, time-critical logistics environments.
  
• Proficiency in MS Excel, Google Sheets, and transportation management systems (TMS).
  
• Strong analytical, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
  
• Ability to lead cross-functional coordination and vendor management.
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Graduate or Postgraduate degree in Supply Chain or Operations is a plus.
  
• Experience with logistics in e-commerce, retail, or 3PL sectors.
  
• Familiarity with logistics tech tools, route planning software, or network modelling tools.
