Job Description

As a ServiceNow Technical Architect / Lead Developer at Amgen, you will play a vital role in evaluating, designing, and implementing advanced ServiceNow solutions that align with the company's strategic objectives. Your responsibilities will include: - Designing and architecting ServiceNow solutions, encompassing system architecture, out-of-the-box (OOB) and custom applications, data models, integrations, workflows, and automation. - Providing technical leadership and guidance to development teams, ensuring adherence to best practices and standards. - Configuring and customizing ServiceNow platform components such as Service Catalog, Incident Management, Change Management, Performance Analytics, Virtual Agent, and CMDB Discovery. - Designing and implementing integrations between ServiceNow and other enterprise systems, showcasing expertise in APIs, web services, middleware, and scripting languages. - Writing scripts to enable advanced functionality, resolving issues, and conducting application testing. - Supervising technical elements of system version upgrades, ensuring alignment with the latest ServiceNow release. - Identifying performance bottlenecks and optimizing ServiceNow configurations for enhanced system responsiveness, scalability, and reliability. - Ensuring ServiceNow implementations comply with regulatory requirements and internal governance policies related to data security, privacy, and audit standards. - Creating comprehensive technical documentation, including design specifications, architecture diagrams, and user guides. - Conducting training sessions for key partners and end-users as required. - Staying informed about ServiceNow platform advancements, best practices, and emerging trends to drive innovation. - Proactively seeking opportunities for process improvements and innovation within the ServiceNow ecosystem. - Performing assessments and evaluations of existing ServiceNow implementations and offering recommendations for enhancements. - Developing custom applications to automate business processes, including complex workflows and user interfaces. - Following agile software development methods to design, build, implement, and adjust projects in rapid, iterative cycles. Qualifications required for this role include: Basic Qualifications: - Doctorate degree and 2 years of ServiceNow experience OR - Masters degree and 8 to 10 years of ServiceNow experience OR - Bachelors degree and 10 to 14 years of ServiceNow experience OR - Diploma and 14 to 18 years of ServiceNow experience - Validated experience as a ServiceNow Technical Architect or Senior Developer with deep understanding of platform architecture, components, and capabilities. - Extensive experience in developing and implementing ServiceNow solutions, including custom applications, modules, and integrations. - Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and ServiceNow scripting languages, along with experience in custom integrations using REST/SOAP, Flow Designer, Integration Hub, and API scripts. - Experience with ITSM processes (Incident Management, Change Management, Problem Management) and familiarity with the ITIL framework. Preferred Qualifications: - Experience in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry. - Hands-on experience with ServiceNow applications such as ITSM, ITOM, ITAM, HRSD, IRM, SecOps, SPM, and CSM. - Experience with Agile development methodologies and tools, such as Scrum and Jira. - Ability to identify performance bottlenecks and optimize ServiceNow configurations for scalability and reliability. Professional Certifications: - ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) (mandatory) - ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) (mandatory) - ServiceNow Certified Technical Architect (CTA) (preferred) - ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) micro-certifications (preferred) Soft Skills: - Demonstrated leadership abilities, effective communication and social skills, exceptional problem-solving capabilities, adaptability in dynamic environments, and forward-thinking innovation.
