JD: ServiceNow ITOM Developer

Role Overview

ITOM capabilities

Key Responsibilities

Implement and configure
ServiceNow ITOM modules
, including
Discovery
and CMDB integrations.
Design and maintain
CMDB data models
aligned to
CSDM
and enterprise architecture standards.
Configure Discovery schedules, credentials, patterns, and probes.
Work closely with infrastructure, application, and security teams to enable accurate discovery and data normalization.
Integrate ITOM data with ITSM workflows to enable event-driven and impact-aware operations.
Build automation using
Flow Designer
,
WDF
, and ITOM capabilities.
Support data ingestion from third-party tools using
IntegrationHub
and APIs.
Perform unit testing and support system and UAT testing.
Participate in Agile ceremonies and PI planning within a
SAFe

framework
.
Document configurations, discovery rules, and operational runbooks.

Required Skills & Experience

Strong hands-on experience with
ServiceNow ITOM
, including
Discovery
.
Deep understanding of
CMDB
,
CSDM
, and service mapping concepts.
Experience with
data mapping
, normalization, Now Assist, and reconciliation.
Strong knowledge of ServiceNow
automation frameworks
(Flow Designer, WDF).
Experience integrating infrastructure and application data into ServiceNow.
Familiarity with
Agile /

SAFe

delivery models
.
Ability to work independently across design, build, and testing phases.

Preferred Qualifications

ServiceNow ITOM certification(s)
Experience in new ServiceNow implementation and deployments
Experience working with hybrid environments (on-prem, cloud)
