Job Summary

ServiceNow ITOM Architect

Key Responsibilities

1. Architecture & Design

• Define and architect ITOM solutions including Discovery, Service Mapping, and Event Management.
• Design scalable and efficient integrations between ServiceNow and third-party tools (SolarWinds, Nexthink, SCCM, Intune, SCOM).
• Develop and maintain CMDB data models and CI class structures aligned with business needs.

2. Discovery & CMDB

• Lead the implementation of ServiceNow Discovery for servers, network devices, and storage systems.
• Integrate Discovery with Nexthink, SCCM, Intune, and SolarWinds to enrich CI data.
• Ensure data accuracy, reconciliation, and normalization within the CMDB.

3. Service Mapping

• Architect and implement Service Mapping to visualize business services and dependencies.
• Collaborate with application and infrastructure teams to define service topologies.

4. Event Management

• Design and configure Event Management to ingest and correlate events from SolarWinds, SCOM, and Nexthink.
• Define alert rules, thresholds, and remediation workflows.
• Optimize event noise reduction, event correlation, and root cause analysis.

5. Governance & Best Practices

• Establish governance for CMDB data quality and lifecycle management.
• Define and enforce best practices for ITOM processes and integrations.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to ServiceNow developers and administrators.

Required Skills & Experience

• 10+ years of experience in ITSM/ITOM with 5+ years on the ServiceNow platform.
• Strong experience implementing Discovery, Service Mapping, and Event Management.
• Deep understanding of CMDB architecture, CI classes, and relationship models.
• Hands-on integration experience with SolarWinds, Nexthink, SCCM, Intune, SCOM.
• Experience in storage discovery and modeling storage infrastructure in the CMDB.
• Expertise with MID Server deployment and troubleshooting.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Certifications (Good to Have)

• ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist – ITOM
• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator
• ServiceNow Discovery Fundamentals
• ITIL v4 Foundation or Intermediate

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with scripting (JavaScript, PowerShell).
• Knowledge of ITIL framework and practices.
