Service Technician (Cutting & Hose machines)

As a Service Technician for Cutting & Hose machines in Gurgaon, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe operation of machines both on-site and in the Service Department. Your primary responsibilities will include: - Performing field service, repairs, machine commissioning, and training, with the possibility of up to 50% travel involved. - Timely repair of machines returned to the Service Department. - Providing start-up and training for customers purchasing new and refurbished machines. - Fielding technical phone calls to assist customers with machine function and troubleshooting. - Generating customer quotations for field service, preventative maintenance, and employee training. - Writing detailed field service reports and documenting with photos when necessary. - Collaborating with the team in Germany to resolve technical issues. - Maintaining the orderliness of the Service Department. In addition to the primary responsibilities, you will also be involved in the secondary responsibilities which include: - Assisting in the Shipping and Receiving Department. - Preparing machines for shipment. - Supporting Sales/Marketing in preparing quotations for parts and machines. - Providing suggestions to enhance internal and external efficiencies. To qualify for this role, you should have: - Minimum 3 years of machine repair experience. - Ideally, a college degree in Mechanical or Electrical Technology, along with technical training and proven experience. - Ability to read fluid power and electrical schematics. - Proficiency in fluid power and electrical controls. - Strong analytical, critical thinking, communication (both oral and written), and problem-solving skills. - Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. - A valid driver's license and successful completion of a driving record screening.
