Service Technician (Cutting & Hose machines)

As a Service Technician (Cutting & Hose machines) based in Gurgaon with over 3 years of experience, your role involves a variety of responsibilities to ensure the smooth functioning of machines and customer satisfaction. Your primary job responsibilities include: - Working safely both on-site and in the Service Department to maintain a secure working environment. - Performing field service, repairs, machine commissioning, and training, which may require up to 50% travel. - Timely repair of machines returned to the Service Department. - Providing start-up and training to customers who purchase new and refurbished machines. - Handling incoming technical phone calls to assist customers with machine function and troubleshooting. - Creating customer quotations for field service, customer site preventative maintenance, and customer employee training. - Writing field service reports and documenting with photos when necessary. - Collaborating with the team in Germany to resolve technical issues. - Maintaining an organized Service Department. In addition to the primary responsibilities, you will also be expected to assist in the Shipping and Receiving Department, prepare machines for shipment, help Sales/Marketing in preparing quotations, and suggest ways to enhance internal and external efficiencies. To excel in this role, you should meet the following qualifications: - Minimum of 3 years of machine repair experience. - A college degree in Mechanical or Electrical Technology is preferred, while technical training and proven experience are essential. - Ability to read fluid power and electrical schematics. - Proficiency in fluid power and electrical controls. - Strong analytical, critical thinking, communication (both oral and written), and problem-solving skills. - Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. - Possession of a valid driver's license and the ability to pass a driving record screening.
