Job Description

Role & responsibilities Support the Application Engineers to Select / specify SKF products to meet the application requirements as per the enquiries received from customers. Engage with sales team in understanding customer requirements and look for solutions within the existing product range/ variants based on primary assessment. Handle product quality related issues with PDs /factories and interact with customer's various departments Trouble shooting and failure analysis of parts. Interact with the Global Bearing Investigation Teams and perform the failure analysis for the Warranty Parts / Tested parts / Zero Hour Complaints . Provide Support for the project Management activities like Sample Development Tracking , Sample submission Processes and Sample Delivery Logistics Organize the Logistics and Courier of the Customer Samples / Tested Parts / Failed Parts to SKF internal factories across the globe and to customers. Maintain the Resisters / Complaint Logs , Quality Ratings of the Customers , Sample Order Request Database Conducting Seminars and training to customers on SKF solutions. Monitor competitor activities in respect of products and technical development and define activity plan accordingly Monitor customer approval tests conducted on prototypes/initial samples at customer's premises/installations Provide technical support to direct sales and new business development Solve problems and resolve conflicts of the customers and manufacturing units. D. Skills: Functional : Knowledge of Automotive engine component & systems design & operation. Understanding of systems engineering methods. Awareness of basic Automotive 2 wheeler and 4 Wheeler Architecture. Mechanical engineering & analytical experience. Quality Knowledge of quality processes and performance measures. Experienced in process improvements and change management. Six sigma knowledge will be added advantage. Team work Interact positively with customers & colleagues Ability to participate in teams as both a leader and a follower Ability to communicate well Leadership Coordinate activities of diverse & distant groups of people. Ability to define achievable & measurable goals. Ability to develop & implement a project plan Ability to Prioritize and Organize. Good presentation and communication skills.
