Job Description

Position Summary

The Service Engineer (Electrical & Mechanical) is responsible for installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, preventive & predictive maintenance, and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment at client sites. The role ensures reliable machine operation, minimizes downtime, and provides technical support to customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform installation, commissioning, and testing of electrical and mechanical equipment.
  • Conduct preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance of motors, pumps, blowers, compressors, gearboxes, and plant machinery.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults, including control panels, MCC/PLC systems, motors, sensors, relays, and wiring issues.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues, including alignment, vibration problems, bearing issues, lubrication, and balancing.
  • Perform vibration analysis, FFT analysis, thermal inspection, and basic condition monitoring.
  • Ensure proper alignment (laser/soft-foot corrections) and balancing of rotating equipment.
  • Prepare service reports, maintenance logs, job completion documents, and customer sign-off.
  • Provide on-site technical support and guide customers on best maintenance practices.
  • Coordinate with internal teams for spare parts planning, job scheduling, and documentation.
  • Adhere to safety standards, company policies, and site-specific rules.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, LT panels, motors, drives, contactors, sensors, and safety devices.
  • Good understanding of mechanical maintenance, bearings, belts, couplings, gearboxes, pumps, and blowers.
  • Hands-on experience with vibration analysis, alignment, and balancing.
  • Ability to read electrical drawings, mechanical schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Good communication for customer interaction and reporting.
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple service assignments.

Qualification & Experience

  • Diploma / B.Tech in Electrical, Mechanical, or Electro-Mechanical Engineering.
  • 1–5 years experience in industrial maintenance, service engineering, or condition monitoring (can be customized).
  • Knowledge of tools like Vibration Analyzer, Multimeter, Clamp Meter, Alignment Tools, Balancers, etc.

Work Environment

  • On-site service at industries such as steel plants, power plants, manufacturing units, process plants, etc.
  • Travel to customer locations as required.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fresher

Pay: ₹8,086.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
