Service Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

1. Installation & Commissioning

• Install and commission battery chargers (AC/DC chargers, forklift chargers, EV on-board/off-board chargers) at customer sites.
• Perform pre-installation checks, wiring, and configuration.

1. Service & Maintenance

• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, electronic, and software-related issues.
• Replace defective parts, PCBs, and modules.

1. Technical Support

• Provide on-site and remote technical support to customers.
• Assist in calibration, firmware upgrades, and testing.
• Maintain service records and generate reports.

1. Customer Interaction

• Educate customers on charger operation, safety, and best practices.
• Handle service escalations and ensure timely resolution.
• Support warranty and AMC (Annual Maintenance Contract) service calls.

1. Documentation & Reporting

• Prepare service reports, failure analysis, and root-cause analysis.
• Maintain inventory of spare parts and tools.
• Ensure compliance with company service policies.

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of

  power electronics, SMPS, battery chargers, and electrical systems

  .
• Hands-on experience with testing tools: multimeter, CRO, clamp meter, insulation tester.
• Ability to read circuit diagrams, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
• Problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Good communication and customer handling skills.
• Willingness to travel extensively for service assignments.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech

  in Electrical / Electronics / Power Electronics / Mechatronics.
• 25 years of experience in servicing

  battery chargers, UPS, inverters, or EV charging stations

  (preferably from Exicom, Axiom, ).
• Knowledge of

  EV charging standards, IP67 chargers, and industrial safety practices

  is an added advantage.

Work Environment:

• Field-based role with frequent customer site visits.
• Exposure to industrial environments, warehouses, and EV charging stations.
• Requires adherence to

  safety protocols and EHS guidelines
