We are looking for a proactive and experienced server administrator to manage and maintain our growing infrastructure. The candidate must have a strong understanding of Linux systems, networking, and server security. The role includes: Installing, configuring, and maintaining Linux-based servers (Ubuntu/CentOS/Debian). Managing networking components—IP routing, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and firewalls. Performing system monitoring, log analysis, and performance tuning. Implementing and managing system backups and disaster recovery plans. Handling user access, permissions, and security protocols. Managing virtualisation environments (like KVM, Virtualizor, or Proxmox). Troubleshooting hardware and software issues on physical and virtual servers. Regularly applying system updates and security patches. Scripting basic automation tasks using Bash or Python. Coordinating with the tech team for uptime and performance optimization. Maintaining documentation and server inventory. Rotational shifts and candidates may need to do night shifts if required.
