- Education: Engineering degree in Electrical/Electronics
 
- Minimum 12+ years of experience in testing from the rolling stock / railway industry, including experience in leading teams of 8 or more members.
 
- Hands-on experience with electrical testing methods including HV/LV tests, insulation resistance, leakage, load, performance, control systems, vibration, shock, thermal cycling and other tests.
 
- Experience or understanding of metro rail, rolling stock, and propulsion systems used in IR
 
- Knowledge of electrical and/or mechanical processes (e.g., earthing & bonding, cabling, protection, and instrumentation)
 
- Familiarity with safety culture while working on high voltages (25 KV)
 
- Proficiency in reading Electrical/Mechanical Schematics
 
- Ability to foster communication between multiple stakeholders
 
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills in complex environments
 
- Teamwork and strong communication skills
 
- Proficiency in MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
 
Your future role

- You'll play a key role in ensuring the successful realization of project and product tests according to testing procedures and delivery schedules. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (such as Test Engineering Engineers/Technicians, Project T&C Managers, and Train Managers), manage an autonomous team of engineers and technicians, and much more.
 
- You’ll specifically take care of managing the planning and workload in the testing workshop and ensuring compliance with Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) standards, but also continuously improving operational activities to meet productivity targets.
 
We’ll look to you for:
- Ensuring test technicians have a clear understanding of the Acceptance Criteria
 
- Participating in the handover process from Manufacturing
 
- Ensuring tests are carried out according to procedures and results are properly recorded
 
- Ensuring availability of tools and spare parts for testing teams
 
- Reviewing and improving operational activities to meet productivity targets
 
- Consolidating and documenting test reports
 
- Implementing and deploying methods, tools, and best practices defined by APSYS
 
- Regularly consolidating and communicating project KPIs
 
- Managing interfaces and fostering collaboration with key stakeholders
 
- Cascading information to testing teams
 
- Managing disputes and day-to-day issues within the team
 
- Developing competencies and growth plans for test engineers and technicians
