Role Overview

SEP (Standard Essential Patent) Specialist

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed

  SEP and non-SEP analysis

  for telecom and wireless technologies (3GPP, LTE, 5G, Wi-Fi 6/7, etc.).
• Perform

  standard-to-patent mapping

  , identify essentiality, and prepare comprehensive

  claim charts

  .
• Review and interpret

  technical specifications

  ,

  patent claims

  , and

  standards contributions

  to assess overlap.
• Support

  patent licensing

  ,

  litigation

  , and

  portfolio management

  activities through technical analysis.
• Collaborate closely with technical experts, patent attorneys, and cross-functional teams.
• Stay updated with evolving telecom standards and emerging communication technologies.
  

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in

  Electronics & Communication

  ,

  Telecommunications

  ,

  Computer Science

  , or related field.

• 1+ years

  of relevant experience in

  SEP projects

  and

  standards-based patent analysis

  .
• Strong understanding of

  3GPP

  ,

  Wi-Fi 6

  , and

  Wi-Fi 7

  standards.
• Proficiency in analyzing patent documents, standard specifications, and technical disclosures.
• Excellent analytical, research, and technical writing skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
