Video Editors Job Description

We are seeking a new Video editor to join our team. You will be designing a wide variety of things across digital and offline media. To be successful in this position, you’ll have to be self-motivated, proactive, capable of delivering brilliant creative ideas, and show amazing attention to detail.

Reporting To: Senior Video Editor

Video Editor Responsibilities:

• Video Editing: Edit raw footage into polished videos, ensuring high quality and seamless transitions, audio synchronization, and visual effects.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the Senior Video Editor and creative team to understand project requirements, deadlines, and objectives.
• Content Enhancement: Incorporate graphics, sound effects, music, and other elements to enhance video content.
• Consistency: Ensure consistency and adherence to brand guidelines across all video content.
• File Management: Organize and manage digital assets, including archiving and retrieving video footage.
• Feedback Implementation: Incorporate feedback from the Senior Video Editor and other team members to refine video content.
• Research: Stay updated on industry trends, editing techniques, and new software to continually improve video editing skills.
• Quality Control: Review and proof final videos to ensure they meet quality standards before submission.

Qualifications:

• Experience: 1-3 years of experience in video editing, with a strong portfolio demonstrating creative and technical skills.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Film, Media, Communications, or a related field is preferred.
• Software Proficiency: Proficient in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects or similar.
• Technical Skills: Strong understanding of video formats, codecs, and best practices for online video platforms.
• Creative Skills: Ability to tell a compelling story through video, with a good sense of timing, pacing, and composition.
• Attention to Detail: Excellent attention to detail with the ability to catch and correct mistakes or inconsistencies.
• Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work well in a collaborative environment.
• Time Management: Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
• AI Tools: Knowledge of latest AI tools which assist in video production can be a great plus.
• Motion graphics in the portfolio can be a great plus.
• Film/Ad industry Experience: Can be a huge plus.
• Fintech background can give great advantage.
